Energy Efficient LED Lighting
Electro-Matic Products line of Outdoor LED lighting products utilizes our 15 year history of providing LED based solutions to our customer base to produce technologically superior LED lighting products that are cost effective.
EMP Outdoor LED lighting products utilize high power LED's from CREE and Phillips that are LM 79 tested to 50,000 hour ratings allowing us to offer a five year warrantee on the LED's and the Power Supplys. Utilizing patented quadric optics and non - imaging lensing our lighting fixtures operate at over 90% efficiency. EMP LED light fixtures typically deliver in excess of 90 lumens/watt allowing for tremendous energy savings, this coupled with the long life in excess of 11 years (12 hours/day operation) can result in ROI achievements of 2 - 4 years. LM 80 test data and IES data on LED lighting products is available upon request.
LED lighting is solid state resulting in a recyclable product that is "Green" with very little environmental impact. The Solid State design results in a fixture with very good vibrational and shock resistant characteristics. The Integrated Heat Sink constructed of Aluminum Alloy has an independent cell for the driver and controller. This ventilation system is designed for dust resistance, water resistance, and is self cleaning in nature. To learn more please see LED Lighting 101 page.
Electro-Matic's Outdoor LED Lighting Products are available in LED Parking Garage Lights, LED Parking Lot Lights, LED Billboard Lights, and LED Street Lights.
LED Parking Garage Lights are designed with an IP66 rating for outdoor usage. The Bat Wing Rectangular lighting pattern is ideal for Parking Garages and can be used in Canopy applications as well. These fixtures can be either celing mounted or pole mounted. Electro-Matic Products LED Parking Garage Lights are available in 70 Watt (delivers 5580 Lumens), 88 Watt (delivers 7020 Lumens), and 106 Watt (delivers 8460 Lumens) designs. See LED Parking Garage Page for more information and complete specifications.
LED Parking Lot lights and LED Street lights are designed with an IP66 rating for outdoor usage. The standard design is for a Type III light pattern with Type I and Type II available upon request. The low profile Cobra design is typically pole mounted and allows for 0 - 90 degrees of adjustability. The HIGH LIGHT LED Street are available in 58.8 Watt (delivers 5330 Lumens) 147 Watt (delivers 13325 Lumens) 235 Watt (delivers 21320 Lumens) designs. See LED Parking Lot and LED Street Light page for more information and complete specifications.
Our AP Series Billboard Lighting offers a unique modular family of solid state LED lighting products that can replace your existing metal halide or high pressure sodium traditional lighting sources with long lasting energy saving LED based billboard luminaire. This patented modular structure of the AP LED billboard light fixture allows power serialization by changing the amount of light bars to meet your lumen requirements on an application by application basis. See our LED Billboard page for more information and complete specifications.
When it comes to finding the perfect solution to suit your industrial lighting needs, the wide range of
existing products may make it difficult to decide on the right alternative for you. But as you begin to
make your decision, it is important to consider all of the needs you would like to fulfill as well as all of
the options available to you.
Currently, the most popular solutions for industrial lighting include the following:
- Fluorescent Lighting
- Halogen Lighting
- High Intensity Discharge (HID)
- Light Emitting Diode (LED)
It is important to realize the advantages and disadvantages to each of these lighting options in making
your decision. Here we will be comparing the pros and cons of industrial lighting products to find the
best fit for you.
Fluorescent lighting, often used in schools and businesses, is much more efficient when compared to
options such as incandescent lights. Its drawbacks, however, are significant. Not only do fluorescent
bulbs age rapidly, requiring frequent replacements, but their efficiency can be dramatically affected
by the temperature of their surroundings. Fluorescent lighting also has a tendency to flicker, not
outputting steady light.
Halogen lighting provides a solution to most of the problems with fluorescent bulbs in that it supplies
vivid white light, ideal for outdoor use in places such as parking lots or walkways. However, the danger
of halogen exists in the high heat output. The fire hazard involved may no t be worth the risk.
HID lighting is common in large public places such as gymnasiums, warehouses, and parking garages.
But the main fault of HID lighting relates to energy efficiency. HID bulbs require more energy and have
shorter lives, requiring them to be replaced more frequently.
While these products may have proved to be adequate industrial lighting alternatives in the past, if you
aren’t looking for a lighting solution that will result in high electricity bills, frequent replacement costs,
or the risk of fire, what options are available to you?
Fortunately, LED may be just what you are looking for.
Used in everything from traffic lights to parking garages and even exit signs, LED as an industrial lighting
alternative provides the following advantages over other lighting options:
- Lifespan: LED bulbs can function while using very little electricity, resulting in a relatively low heat output along with a much longer life span when compared to alternatives.
- Size: LED bulbs can be very small in size, making them ideal for small or hard to reach locations.
- Color: LEDs are available in a wide range of visible, infrared, and ultraviolet wavelengths, great
for indoor and outdoor signs.
- Durability: Because LEDs do not contain a filament like other options such as incandescent bulbs their durability is unmatched.
- Efficiency: LED bulbs are more than four times as efficient and last up to 50 times longer than
standard incandescent bulbs.
- Cost-effective: Due to their efficiency, the savings in replacement hardware and labor costs
alone allows the bulbs to pay for themselves.
There are many options when it comes to purchasing the products to suit your industrial lighting needs,
but the benefits of LED when compared to its alternatives may be too good to pass up. To learn more see "Why Choose LED Lighting" page
